There’s a version of reality somewhere where Hype, Plasma, and Bera Chain all thrive on the Hub, and Cosmos trades at $100. But that’s not this world’s version. Too many wrong turns, too much time chasing the wrong ideas. Trust eroded until even shared security became a red flag. A cartel drained the life and rewards from the very communities that made a network possible.
For me, though, one of the biggest failures was much simpler: no one stopped to ask, what does the consumer actually want? Everything was built top-down, from ego and engineering. Apart from Osmosis I saw too little curiosity about actual product and too much pride in big words and technical showmanship.
Figure out what the consumer wants and work back from there, otherwise you risk wasting time building useless infrastructure.
