𝗘𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘂𝗺 𝗗𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝘆𝗽𝗲. 𝗜𝘁 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱. $ETH will not return to its all-time high just because people call it “the world computer.” That narrative is not enough anymore. Ethereum needs to prove value capture again. The first problem is fees. L2s made transactions cheaper , but they also moved activity away from the base layer. That helped users , but weakened the simple ETH burn narrative. So Ethereum needs L2 growth to feed value back into $ETH , not just scale away from it. That puts $ARB , $OP , $MNT , $STRK and $LINEA in focus. The second problem is demand. $ETH needs more than staking. It needs stronger DeFi activity , more RWA settlement , more stablecoin movement and more institutional usage. That is where $AAVE , $UNI , $LDO , $EIGEN , $ETHFI , $PENDLE , $ONDO and $LINK matter. The third problem is trust. The market needed clarity around Ethereum Foundation sales , leadership and long-term direction. Vitalik pushing for a smaller Foundation , less ETH selling and more ecosystem responsibility helps repair that narrative. But it is not enough by itself. The fourth problem is competition. $SOL is faster. $SUI is chasing performance. $BNB has ecosystem utility. $HYPE is stealing DeFi attention. Newer chains are fighting for users. Ethereum cannot win by history alone. It must win by settlement quality , security , liquidity and developer gravity. My read: For $ETH to reclaim ATH , five things need to happen: L2s must create value for ETH. DeFi volume must return. ETF and institutional demand must strengthen. Foundation sell-pressure fears must fade. Ethereum must become the main settlement layer for RWA , staking and tokenized finance. Ethereum is not dead. But it is no longer allowed to be lazy.
